The bathroom was very small, and the bathtub drain was clogged. I booked a double room for two people, but due to overbooking, the hotel provided a single room instead. Two people had to share the room, and one person slept on the floor. The staff said it was the booking app’s fault and did not take responsibility.

Love love love the historical vibe of this cute hotel! The story and people behind the hotel makes for a great read - and I even heard it was the third most haunted hotel in LA? I’m not into all that (despite the weird sounds when I opened the bathroom door late at night), but it still made the stay even more interesting. The decor in the lobby is perfection. I can’t believe I didn’t take any pictures. The only issue with the room was the air conditioning just feeling a bit “off”. Service was fantastic. Great location - especially if you love South Korean food and culture. Overall, a great stay!

Hotel Normandy ticks all the boxes for my perfect hotel stay. It’s in a very walkable area of LA for food and entertainment. Plus it’s a block from one of he city’s subway lines. The hotel itself is gorgeous inside and my room was the relaxing escape I needed, including plenty of hot water and pressure for a shower. That might seem small but when you’ve stayed places that don’t have it, you learn to check on such details. The staff was always accommodating and helpful. I’d easily choose Hotel Normandy again!

We stayed in the Hotel Normandie for a few days whilst visiting Los Angeles. The room did as was required, basic amenities and decoration some of which is dated but in line with the rest of the hotel. Bed was comfortable. Our stay however, was largely spoiled by front desk staff phoning our room on 2 occasions at 0530AM one morning of our stay. They had said a noise complaint had been made relating to our room, suggesting we were moving furniture around. We had been asleep for hours and were jet lagged having travelled some distance, only to be woken by these calls. Once awake, we too could then hear the furniture being moved and items dragged into the hallway and couldn’t achieve more sleep. It was disappointing that the staff at that time of the morning, didn’t make the effort to come up to the floor and establish the source of the noise prior to randomly phoning guests rooms and ultimately disrupting our rest for no reason. This tainted the experience of the hotel enormously. The parking lot is across the way and the Valet staff were helpful. The location isn’t great as a tourist visiting Los Angeles and looking to sightsee. We had a hire car so this did not effect us, however it is worth considering. Overall I would not recommend friends/family to stay here.

My family LOVED this hotel. The location is amazing if you like to eat near the hotel you stay in. The area is a bit rundown but didn't feel unsafe, at all. The staff was fabulous! Always friendly and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. We appreciate the the feel of being "back in time" with the old tile and wooden floors. Beautifully renovated, this hotel seemed elegant. Cassel's hamburgers - attached to the hotel lobby - was a nice treat. Food was tasty! Wine tastings were a nice touch. Bring ear plugs as the city noise is a bit much in some rooms. :) We recommend highly!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I stayed for 4 days, and everything was absolutely clean and well maintained. The room was spotless when I arrived, and housekeeping did a great job every single day. Fresh towels, neatly made beds, and a very comfortable atmosphere throughout my stay.

First time staying in K-Town and the location of the Normandie is fire. You have Hmart 2 blocks away, delicious K-town eateries adjacent to the hotel and other great points of interest within walking distance. But its LA and youre better off driving (in my opinion). The staff are amazing, very polite and attentive. Adam the front desk manager allowed me to check-in early which was God-sent and highly appreciated. The building is an history monument and therefore the rooms and layout is pretty unique. The Lobby is very inviting and the furnishings are comfortable. Would highly recommend staying at this historic landmark!
